Janani Suraksha Yojana Gujarat 2023
Jani Suraksha Yojana has been launched by the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi. Under this scheme, the pregnant women of the country will be given financial assistance by the government. This scheme will improve the condition of pregnant women and newborn babies in the country.
Only women living below the poverty line can avail of this scheme. All the women who want to take advantage of this scheme have to go to the official website and apply. Under Jani Suraksha Yojana, pregnant women have been divided into two categories by the government.
Based on this they will be given financial assistance by the government. These categories are as follows:-
Pregnant Women in Rural Areas:- Under Jana Suraksha Yojana, all those women who are pregnant (at the time of delivery) and living below the poverty line will be given financial assistance of ₹ 1400 by the government. Apart from this, the ASHA associate will be given ₹300 for delivery promotion and ₹300 for providing post-delivery service.
Pregnant Women in Urban Areas:- Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 1000 will be provided to all pregnant women at the time of delivery. Apart from this, the ASHA associate will be given ₹200 for delivery promotion and ₹200 for providing post-delivery service.
When Janani Suraksha Yojana Gujarat 2023 was implemented in Gujarat
As you all know, through Janani Suraksha Yojana Gujarat 2023, free medicines, food, free treatment, etc. are provided to pregnant women. Apart from this free nutrition is provided for 3 days in case of normal delivery and 7 days in case of C-section.
This scheme has now been implemented in Gujarat as well. The PGI administration issued written orders to implement the scheme on June 23. After which free medical services will be provided to registered pregnant women and newborns up to 1 month after delivery in all institutions.
Under this scheme, regular checkup facility is provided to pregnant women. Besides, all services from delivery to home are free. Newborns are also provided free treatment up to 1 month after birth.
