Stock market:Sensex rises 497 points, Nifty closes at 16,770; Shares of HCL Tech, Wipro rise

Indian stock markets closed higher on Tuesday after a day of ups and downs. The Sensex rose 497 points to close at 56319. The Nifty rose 157 points to close at 16,770. As a result, investors’ wealth has increased by Rs 3.26 lakh crore. Yesterday, the market cap of listed companies was Rs 252.57 lakh crore. Today, it is Rs 255.83 lakh crore.Shares of HCL Tech, Wipro, Tata Steel rose
on the Sensex while shares of HCL Tech, Wipro, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Ultratech Cement rose. HCL Tech rose 4.30 per cent to close at 1209.70. Wipro rose 3.77 percent to close at 691.50. However, shares of Power Grid Corp, Axis Bank, SBI, M&M, Bajaj Finance and others closed lower. Power Grid Corp fell 1.81 percent to close at 206.00. Axis Bank fell 1.16 per cent to close at 667.00.

Sensex closed
with a loss of 7 out of 30 stocks. The Sensex opened 460 points higher at 56320 in the morning. During the day it touched a high of 56900 and a low of 56047. 7 out of 30 Sensex stocks closed lower. Shares of Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank and Power Grid were down. Shares of HCL Tech, Wipro, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Titan, Sunpharma and Ultratech closed higher.
