National Conference Meeting:For BJP, Kashmiri Pandits are just a vote bank: Farooq

  • The National Conference promised the return of the Pandits
  • Three resolutions were passed in favor of Kashmiri Pandits

Former Jammu and Kashmir CM and National Conference chairman Farooq Abdullah has accused the BJP of using Kashmiri Pandits as a vote bank. The promises made to the people of Kashmir have not been fulfilled. Three resolutions were passed at the party’s minority front meeting on Saturday. It also included a proposal for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the valley.

The resolutions passed in Farooq’s presence called for legislation for the management of temples and places of worship for Kashmiri Pandits. Farooqi said that Kashmiri Pandits have been waiting for an honorable return and rehabilitation for three decades. He said that some forces thought that he would run away from the Pandits and take over Kashmir but I can assure him that he could never succeed in his nefarious intentions.

Farooq apologized to Pandits for 1990.
Farooq said that some forces tried to divide Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims. Muslims have never taken away the rights of Pandits. I apologize to the Pandits for not doing anything for their safety in the 90’s.
