The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment in Gandhinagar has launched the “Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana” to offer financial support to people with disabilities. The “Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana” was put into place with the intention of helping the crippled to live a life of dignity in society. Which currently only requires online applications through the e-samaj Kalyan platform.

The Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana is being carried out with the intention of supplying artificial limbs to people who have at least 40% disability as well as business and educational tools for their social and educational development.

Launch of Divyang Sadhana Sahai Yojana 2023

Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana for providing material assistance to differently-abled persons has been started with effect from former Education and Labor Department Resolution No. EDB/1069/R1P60/6, dated 10-4-70.

Purpose of Divyang Sadhana Sahai Yojana 2023

Sadhana Sahai Yojana has been implemented in the state with the aim of providing them with artificial limbs and educational and business useful tools for their educational development and social rehabilitation.

Who can get the benefit of Divyang Sadhana Sahai Yojana 2023?

A person with 40 percent or more disability is given benefits under this scheme.
A person below 16 years of age cannot be given employment-related equipment.
Should be a resident of Gujarat.

Types of Disability in Divyang Sadhana Sahay Scheme

The benefit of Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana will be given to persons with 21 types of disabilities and the percentage of disabilities. These are as follows.

Assistance available under Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana

Under this scheme, the beneficiary will be provided with equipment to relieve his disability, and self-employment-oriented equipment of Rs. 2000/- is given within the limit. A person with any kind of disability can be provided with employment-oriented tools that relieve his disability. The equipment that helps with 21 types of disabilities will be available as determined by the government.

Divyang Sadhan Sahai Yojana Apply Online

Online application has to be made through the Social Justice & Empowerment Department (SJED) of the Government of Gujarat through the e-Samaj Kalyan portal (https://esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in/index.aspx). The District Social Security Officer shall have the authority to verify the applications of the Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana and approve the assistance and for more information, the office of the ‘District Social Security Officer’ at the district headquarters shall be contacted.
