Apple accuses:Apple sues Pegasus software maker NSO

Accused of spying on iPhone users

Apple Corps has filed a lawsuit against NSO Group, an Israeli company that makes Pegasus spyware used for espionage around the world. Apple has accused NSO of targeting its users.

Apple has expressed a desire to block the use of any of its software, services or devices by the NSO. Pegasus Spyware has been accused of spying on the phones of many people, including journalists and leaders in many parts of the world. In India, the Supreme Court has constituted a committee to look into the matter.

The US has also blacklisted NSO Group and Candiru. The US Department of Commerce has blacklisted both companies and barred any deal with them. These companies can no longer do business in the United States. Facebook also filed a case against NSO in 2019. NSO was then accused of targeting WhatsApp users.
